Going with the Flow
Since my childhood days, I am passionate about boats and watersports.
For me, nothing beats the feeling of freedom on the wide ocean and weightlessness in water. As one of the big constants, this passion - next to my passion for design - subtly guides my life decisions.
Cruising the World on Cargo Ships
Not many people know, that it is possible to book cabins on cargo ships. The second-biggest item on my personal bucket list is to have circled the entire world by boat. Sailing on the massive machines which run our globalized economy is a life-changing experience that I highly recommend.
After having lived in China for a year, I decided to return by ship. The trip from the world’s largest fully automated container port in Yangshan, Shanghai to Hamburg aboard the massive MS Ever Conquest gave me about one month time to reflect on my experiences abroad and gest started on my Diploma/Master thesis about improving the user experience for captains. I’m looking for opportunities to embark on Rotterdam ➞ New York and San Francisco ➞ Tokyo.

If it Floats, I’m on Board!
In Germany I used to be a swimmer, in Denmark I became a rower. Living so close to the sea, I also got myself a kajak, and took windsurfing and speedboat licenses.
